About Mitch Landess
Mitch Landess is the founder and ceo of Landess Innovations, a consultancy dedicated to helping organizations harness technology, innovation, and strategy to achieve meaningful growth. With more than two decades of experience leading large-scale transformation, Mitch has guided nearly 1,000 organizations across the manufacturing and entrepreneurial landscape—driving more than $1 billion in measurable impact.
Before launching Landess Innovations, Mitch served as Vice President of Innovation and Digital Transformation at Conexus Indiana, where he shaped statewide initiatives that accelerated Industry 4.0 adoption and advanced manufacturing competitiveness. He led the creation of Indiana’s Manufacturing Readiness Grants, which catalyzed over $1.2 billion in technology-driven investment, and founded the Hardtech Innovators Network to connect startups, researchers, and manufacturers developing next-generation products.
His leadership also extended into data and AI collaborations among Indiana’s top universities and the authorship of Conexus 2031: Empowering Bold Industry Transformation, a six-year strategic plan for advancing innovation across the state.
Earlier in his career, Mitch spent more than a decade at Rose-Hulman Ventures, where he helped build one of the nation’s most successful university-based innovation centers. There, he worked with entrepreneurs and Fortune 500 companies alike to accelerate new product development, forge research partnerships, and deliver hands-on experience to engineering students. His early work as a control and process optimization engineer on a groundbreaking clean-energy project earned recognition in POWER Magazine’s "Power Plant Hall of Fame."
A two-time graduate of Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology and recipient of its 2022 Career Achievement Award, Mitch combines deep technical expertise with a strategic perspective on business growth.
